Ray Reeves was born in Broken Hill in 1957. He was destined to join his father and brothers in the mines, but from a small age Ray was painting and he loved it!

In his early teenage years, Ray was renowned for sketching scenes of the local characters from is neighborhood, which are now renown and much sought after.

It was not until his late teens that Ray took up the brush and pallet, the mediums he used were oil and canvas.

In his 20s Ray became good friends with Pro Hart, for years Ray and Pro had lots of fun laughing and joking and their antics whilst enjoying their craft.

Ray has now been painting for over 30 years and has exhibited and sold artworks in Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide galleries, as well as commissions to America, Canada, Norway, Switzerland, England, Japan and Germany.
